Federal Minister Launches New Health Facility at Gwadar Hospital

Federal Minister for Planning and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal visited the GDA Pak-China Friendship Hospital in Gwadar.
He inaugurated the hospital’s newly constructed Diagnostic Block, which is operated by the Indus Hospital and Health Network.
Head of Campus Dr. Affan Faiqzada briefed the minister on hospital operations, reporting that around 1,100 to 1,200 patients receive free care daily.
The hospital provides free medicines, laboratory tests, radiology services, and complimentary meals for admitted patients, ensuring modern healthcare access in Gwadar.

Plans for future expansion include a medical college, nursing college, and multiple specialty departments to strengthen healthcare in the region.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that CPEC focuses on human development alongside infrastructure, calling the hospital a practical example of this broader vision.
He praised the hospital’s quality services, efficient administration, and people-friendly approach, emphasizing its significance for Gwadar, Makran Division, and Pak-China friendship.
