Finance Ministry allows unlimited investment in digital prize bonds

The Ministry of Finance has approved unlimited investment in digital prize bonds, introducing a new opportunity for Pakistani citizens to participate in secure and digitalized savings.
According to a notification issued by the ministry, transactions for these bonds will be conducted through a mobile app. While prize money will be subject to taxation, Zakat will not be applicable.
The government has clarified that there will be no upper limit on investment, and every adult Pakistani citizen is eligible to invest in digital prize bonds. However, the transfer of ownership and pledging of these bonds will not be permitted.
In case of an investor’s passing, the bond amount will be disbursed to legal heirs following a succession certificate.
