Forbes Releases 2025 List of the World’s Richest People


Forbes has unveiled its 2025 list of the world’s wealthiest individuals, with Tesla CEO Elon Musk once again claiming the top spot as the richest person in the world.
Musk’s fortune saw a remarkable 75% increase in 2024, reaching a staggering $342 billion. This marks the first time in history that someone has amassed such a vast fortune to become the world’s wealthiest individual.
According to Forbes’ 39th annual list, the number of billionaires globally has surged to 3,028, the highest in history. Over the past year, 247 individuals joined the ranks of billionaires, contributing to a total increase of $2 trillion, bringing the collective wealth of global billionaires to over $16 trillion.
The second spot on the list is occupied by Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose wealth stands at $216 billion. In third place is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, with a fortune of $215 billion. Other notable figures on the list include Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison in fourth place with $192 billion, Bernard Arnault in fifth with $178 billion, and Warren Buffett in sixth with $154 billion. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates ranks 13th with $108 billion, while Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani is 18th with $92.5 billion.
The world’s richest woman is Alice Walton, with a net worth of $101 billion, ranking 15th, followed by France’s Françoise Bettencourt Meyers with $81.6 billion, the second-wealthiest woman.
The list showcases a diverse range of individuals, with tech moguls, business tycoons, and industry leaders dominating the rankings.
