Forced Begging Scam Exposed: Women Trafficked to Saudi Arabia on Fake Umrah Promises
The FIA has uncovered a shocking human trafficking network that trafficked women to Saudi Arabia under the pretense of free Umrah, only to force them into organized begging.

The FIA Composite Circle Faisalabad arrested the ring leader Muhammad Sharif, who was detained at the airport upon his arrival from Saudi Arabia. An Interpol Blue Notice had been issued against him.

According to FIA officials, other key members of the network, Zahoor Ahmed and Muhammad Ghafoor, have already been arrested.

The gang lured vulnerable citizens — especially women — by offering free Umrah packages and fake job opportunities. Once in Saudi Arabia, the victims were systematically forced into begging.

FIA spokesperson further stated that an in-depth investigation is now underway to trace and prosecute all members of this international trafficking ring.
