Lower Dir: Former senior leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), Zahid Khan, has joined Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N). During a joining ceremony, senior PML-N leader and federal minister Ameer Muqam welcomed Zahid Khan into the party.

Speaking at the occasion, Zahid Khan stated that he decided to join PML-N upon the invitation of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif. He expressed confidence in PML-N’s vision and leadership, emphasising his commitment to working for the country’s development and prosperity alongside the party.

In his address, Ameer Muqam criticised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), accusing it of harming the country’s economy by writing letters to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He highlighted the irony of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government discussing purchasing PIA while denying teachers their rightful benefits.

Ameer Muqam further accused PTI of double standards and insincerity towards solving public issues. He asserted that PML-N has a comprehensive plan for genuine national progress and resolving public problems and is determined to advance this agenda.
