Attock: Tensions escalated during the ongoing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest as clashes broke out between law enforcement and party supporters. Police detained several individuals from Ali Amin Gandapur’s convoy, prompting a retaliatory response from PTI workers who reportedly captured police officers in return.
The altercation occurred near Katti Pahari on the M-1 Motorway as the PTI convoy, led by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and party leaders, approached a key blockade. In the aftermath, a standoff developed with both sides holding members of the other group.
Reports indicate that negotiations are currently underway in an attempt to resolve the situation. PTI workers have demanded the release of their detained members in exchange for freeing the police officers they have captured.
