Gold prices drop in Pakistan

The price of 24-karat gold per tola witnessed a decrease of Rs800, settling at Rs308,700 on Tuesday, compared to its previous rate of Rs309,500, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs686, reaching Rs264,660 from Rs265,346. Meanwhile, the rate of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs629, now standing at Rs243,613 from Rs244,242.

The silver market also experienced a downward trend, with the price of per tola silver dropping by Rs45 to Rs3,350, while the rate for 10 grams of silver fell by Rs38 to Rs2,872.

On the international front, gold prices declined by $8, bringing the new rate to $2,940 per ounce from the previous $2,948. Likewise, silver prices in the global market decreased by $0.40, now standing at $32.20 per ounce.
