Gold Prices Jump in Pakistan After Major Decline

Gold prices in Pakistan rebounded sharply on Wednesday after a historic one-day drop. According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs3,500 to reach Rs419,862. The rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,000 to Rs359,963. Meanwhile, 10 grams of 22-karat gold climbed to Rs329,978, marking a gain of Rs2,751. This strong recovery brought relief to local traders and investors.
Globally, gold prices also moved upward, reflecting renewed investor confidence. In the international market, the price of gold rose by $35 to reach $3,975 per ounce. Analysts linked the global increase to economic uncertainty and ongoing currency fluctuations. Investors are turning back to gold as a safe-haven asset amid unstable financial conditions. As a result, global market trends continue to influence local prices in Pakistan.
Experts believe that the recent appreciation of the US dollar has strengthened gold’s appeal. Shifting expectations around interest rates have further boosted investor demand for precious metals. Many traders now expect gold to remain strong in the near term. However, they also warn that any sudden changes in global markets could affect local prices quickly. Therefore, both buyers and sellers remain cautious.
Silver prices in Pakistan followed a similar upward trend. The rate of 24-karat silver per tola increased by Rs110, reaching Rs5,034. The price of 10 grams of silver also rose to Rs4,315. This consistent rise reflects stronger investor sentiment across the precious metals market. Analysts noted that silver often tracks gold’s movement during times of uncertainty.
Overall, the surge in both gold and silver prices highlights shifting market dynamics. Investors are seeking safety amid global financial volatility. The latest recovery suggests renewed optimism in Pakistan’s bullion market after recent declines. However, experts advise close monitoring of international trends that continue to shape local prices. As economic uncertainty persists, demand for gold and silver may remain strong in the coming days.
