Gold Prices Jump Rs7,900 Per Tola in Pakistan

KARACHI – The price of gold rose sharply on Thursday, both in Pakistan and in international markets, according to the Pakistan Sarafa Association. Local traders reported a significant increase in gold rates. Market analysts say the rise reflects global demand and market trends.

The price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs7,900, reaching Rs523,962. Similarly, 10 grams of gold rose by Rs6,773 to Rs449,212. Dealers said the market is experiencing strong buying activity, pushing prices higher.

Overseas, the global price of gold per ounce jumped by $79, reaching $5,012. This increase aligns with trends in local markets, showing rising investor interest. Analysts note that international economic factors are influencing local gold rates.

Gold dealers highlighted that in just two days, local gold prices have surged by Rs9,200 per tola. This rapid increase is unprecedented in recent months. Many investors are buying gold as a hedge against inflation and market uncertainties.

Silver prices also saw a rise on Thursday. The per tola rate increased by Rs358 to Rs8,404. Over the past two days, silver has risen by Rs390 per tola, reflecting overall precious metal demand.
