Gold Prices Surge in International and Local Markets

KARACHI – After a brief one-day pause, the international bullion market witnessed a significant uptick in gold prices. The price of gold jumped by $35 per ounce, pushing the rate to $3,326 per ounce on Friday.
This increase in the global market had a direct impact on Pakistan’s local gold markets. According to reports from local jewellers, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs3,500 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs351,000 per tola. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs3,000, reaching Rs300,925.
Silver prices also followed the upward trend. The price of silver per tola increased by Rs38, now standing at Rs3,466, while 10 grams of silver went up by Rs33, reaching Rs2,971.
