The water levels in the Sindh River have risen to dangerous levels after the water from all Punjab rivers joined the Sindh River, causing high flood conditions at the Guddu Barrage.

The water inflow at Guddu Barrage has been recorded at 612,269 cusecs, while the outflow is 582,942 cusecs. As a result, a high flood warning has been issued for low-lying areas, and all relevant authorities have been placed on high alert. The public has been advised to evacuate to safer locations.

The floodwaters have inundated the entire Katcha area of Kandhkot, and thousands of acres of standing crops have been submerged. The Pakistan Navy’s Emergency Response Team is actively involved in relief operations in the districts of Kashmore, Ghotki, Sukkur, and Shikarpur. These teams are equipped with hovercrafts, rescue boats, and expert divers to assist in the rescue and relief efforts.
