Hajj will not take place in the summer after 2025!

The Saudi National Meteorological Centre has announced that Hajj 2025 will be the last to take place during the intense summer heat. From 2026 onwards, the Islamic pilgrimage will gradually move into spring and later winter.
This shift is due to the Islamic lunar calendar, which moves about 10 days earlier each year. As a result, Hajj will occur in cooler months for the next 16 years.
This change is expected to bring major relief to millions of pilgrims, especially after extreme heatwaves in recent years.
