Hamas Agrees to Hand Over Gaza Administration to Technocrats

Hamas and several other Palestinian organizations have agreed to transfer Gaza’s administration to a non-political committee made up of technocrats. The decision was reached during a meeting held in Cairo, where leaders discussed ways to promote national unity and rebuild Gaza’s governance structure. Officials said the goal is to ensure transparent management and reconstruction of the region. This step marks a significant decision to hand over Gaza’s administration to non-political technocrats.
According to Hamas, the meeting was part of preparations for a broader national dialogue aimed at restoring unity among Palestinian factions. Representatives from multiple groups attended the session and expressed the need for joint efforts to address the challenges facing the Palestinian people.

In an official statement, Hamas said that all Palestinian groups agreed on the importance of a unified national stance. They emphasized the need for a common political vision that rejects any attempt to annex Gaza, the West Bank, or Jerusalem, as well as any forced displacement of Palestinians.
Participants also agreed on the implementation of the ceasefire agreement and measures to end Gaza’s blockade. They called for reopening all border crossings to facilitate movement and trade. Additionally, an international supervisory committee will be formed to oversee reconstruction efforts and monitor financial aid.
