Hamas frees four Israeli female soldiers in second phase of hostage swap

Hamas released four Israeli female soldiers as part of the second phase of the hostage exchange under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. The Israeli soldiers were handed over to Red Cross officials at Palestinian Square. At the time of their release, Hamas gave the female hostages gift bags. The hostages waved farewell to the Palestinian crowd. A large number of Palestinians were present at Palestine Square during this event.

As per the agreement, today, 200 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for the four Israelis. According to reports, the Israeli military will now withdraw from the Gaza Netzarim corridor, allowing Palestinians to return to their homes in northern Gaza.

It is worth mentioning that in the first phase of the hostage release, three Israeli female soldiers were freed, in exchange for Israel releasing ninety Palestinian prisoners.
