Haramain Train

Saudi Arabia’s Haramain Train service has set a new record by transporting 48,000 passengers in a single day during Ramadan. The high-speed train, which connects Makkah and Madinah, plays a crucial role in facilitating travel for Umrah pilgrims and daily commuters.

To manage the growing demand, Saudi Railways (SAR) increased the number of trips to 130 per day in the last 10 days of Ramadan. So far, the service has provided 1.6 million seats across 3,400 journeys, ensuring a smooth and comfortable travel experience for worshippers.

Since its launch in 2018, the Haramain Train has been a game-changer for pilgrims, offering a fast, safe, and efficient travel alternative. With expanded operations, it remains a key part of Saudi Arabia’s modern transport system.
