Heavy Monsoon Rains Disrupt Train Services in Karachi, Causing Major Delays

Karachi – Ongoing heavy monsoon rainfall has severely impacted railway operations in Karachi, causing significant delays in train departures and leaving passengers stranded at various stations across the city.
According to Pakistan Railways, multiple trains are running behind schedule due to flooded tracks and persistent bad weather. Officials confirm that operational challenges have increased with each passing day of rainfall, now in its fourth consecutive day.
Train Delays Reported:
- The Bahauddin Zakariya Express is delayed by 1 hour 15 minutes, now scheduled to depart at 7:30 PM.
- Fareed Express is experiencing a 4.5-hour delay, with a new departure time set for midnight.
- Shah Hussain Express is one hour late, expected to leave at 10:00 PM.
- Sukkur Express will now depart at 1:00 AM, a 2.5-hour delay.
- Khyber Mail is delayed by 1.5 hours, with a revised departure of 11:45 PM.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued continued rainfall forecasts for the region, warning of light rain and drizzle in the coming days. Humidity levels remain above 80%, while temperatures hover near 32°C.
