Heavy Passenger Rush at Karachi Airport Amid Flight Cancellations

Karachi: A large number of passengers gathered at Jinnah International Airport Karachi on Tuesday following the sudden cancellation of several international flights, causing severe disruption and distress.

According to details, flights bound for Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Doha were abruptly cancelled, resulting in chaos and long queues at the airport. Passengers expressed frustration over the lack of timely communication from the airlines regarding the flight cancellations.

Airport sources reported that the passenger rush intensified as many travellers reached the airport without prior notice of the changes. Several passengers were seen struggling to get updated flight information and alternative arrangements.

Sources further revealed that the situation was worsened by the closure of Qatari airspace, which has not only affected outbound flights to Doha but also left many Pakistani passengers stranded at Doha Airport. Connecting flights from various countries to Pakistan via Doha were also disrupted, forcing travellers to remain at transit locations with no immediate solution.

Additionally, the closure of Qatari airspace has significantly disturbed the flight schedules at Doha Airport, with ripple effects impacting several flights to and from Pakistan.
