Heavy rain and hailstorm damage vehicles in Islamabad

Islamabad: Torrential rain and a severe hailstorm hit various parts of the capital, causing damage to parked vehicles on Wednesday.

According to details, heavy rain and hailstorms damaged vehicles in Islamabad. Several car windows were reportedly shattered, with videos of the destruction going viral on social media.

Meanwhile, Muzaffarabad also experienced a powerful thunderstorm accompanied by heavy rain, turning the weather pleasant after strong winds.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, this new spell of rain is expected to continue intermittently until April 20. Officials have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to upper and hilly areas during this period.

On the other hand, Gujar Khan and surrounding areas witnessed stormy rains that damaged both standing and harvested wheat crops.
