Heavy rain expected across Pakistan from August 4–7

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms in several parts of the country between August 4 and 7.

According to the PMD, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad are expected to receive rainfall during this period. There is a risk of flash flooding in low-lying areas, particularly in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The PMD has advised relevant authorities to remain on high alert and urged citizens to take precautionary measures.

Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely in Sindh and Balochistan on August 6, while hot and humid weather will persist in most other regions.
