Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Naim Qassem said on Thursday that the group firmly stands with Iran and is not neutral in the current conflict.

In a statement shared on Telegram, Qassem said, “Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance fully support Iran’s rights and independence and strongly oppose the aggression of America, Israel, and their allies.”

He emphasised, “We support Iran in its fight against global injustice. Our stance is about protecting our independence, our land, and our freedom of choice.”

Qassem made it clear that Hezbollah will stand by Iran, its leadership, and its people and will act however the group sees fit against what he called Israeli-American aggression.

The latest conflict began when Israel launched airstrikes across Iran on Friday, targeting military and nuclear sites. In response, Iran fired back with missile attacks.

So far, Israeli officials report at least 25 people killed and hundreds injured by Iran’s strikes. According to Iranian media, 639 people have died in Iran, and over 1,300 have been injured in Israeli attacks.
