Historic drop in gold prices in Pakistan

Karachi: Gold prices in Pakistan have recorded the biggest drop in history, with a sharp decline of Rs. 10,400 per tola.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, as of May 12, the new price of 24-karat gold stands at Rs. 340,500 per tola, while the price of 10 grams has decreased by Rs. 8,917, bringing it to Rs. 291,923.
Internationally, gold also saw a decline of $104 per ounce, settling at $3,221.
Just days ago, gold prices had soared past Rs. 363,000 per tola, marking the highest rate in Pakistan’s history.
