ICC reveals prize money for 2025 Champions Trophy

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money for the 2025 Champions Trophy, revealing a 53% increase compared to the previous edition. A total of 6.9 million dollars will be distributed among the teams, marking a significant boost for the players participating in the prestigious tournament.

According to the details released by the ICC, the winning team of the Champions Trophy will receive 2.24 million dollars, while the runner-up will be awarded 1.12 million dollars. Both teams that lose in the semi-finals will receive 560,000 dollars each.

In addition, teams that secure victories in the group stage will earn 34,000 dollars for each win. The teams finishing in fifth and sixth positions will receive 350,000 dollars, while the seventh and eighth-place finishers will be entitled to 140,000 dollars.

Moreover, all teams participating in the mega event will be granted 125,000 dollars as a participation reward.
