Illegal Afghan Nationals Arrested and Shifted to Camps

In an ongoing crackdown against illegally residing foreign nationals, police in Nawabshah have arrested multiple Afghan citizens living in Pakistan without legal documentation.

According to SSP Nawabshah Shabbir Sethar, joint operations were conducted by Airport Police Station and A-Section Police across different localities. During the raids, four Afghan nationals were taken into custody and shifted to holding camps.

SSP stated that cases have been registered under the Foreign Act, and the arrested individuals will be deported after completion of legal procedures.

This action follows the government’s nationwide policy to remove all undocumented foreign nationals, particularly in the wake of evidence linking Afghan citizens to recent terror incidents in the country.

In April, the federal government directed provincial administrations, including Islamabad’s, to implement the repatriation plan. According to official figures, over 886,886 illegal Afghan migrants have already left Pakistan, while the phased deportation process continues.
