ISLAMABAD – Delegation of experts from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is set to begin its review of Pakistan’s governance framework and anti-corruption efforts starting today (Monday), sources revealed.

According to details, the IMF team will assess the performance of various government departments as part of the Governance and Corruption Diagnostic Assessment Report — a key component of the ongoing loan agreement between Pakistan and the IMF.

Sources from the Ministry of Finance stated that the IMF experts will work closely with around 30 government departments to help improve their efficiency and transparency.

The visiting delegation is also scheduled to hold important meetings with officials from the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
