Over 16.3 million children were vaccinated in Punjab in a nationwide anti-polio campaign

LAHORE: In the last four days, more than 16.3 million children in Punjab have received anti-polio drops as part of a nationwide vaccination campaign.

Adeel Tasawar, in charge of the anti-polio initiative in Punjab, provided an update on the campaign’s progress, highlighting that 1.193 million children in Lahore were vaccinated. In Rawalpindi, 577,000 children received the polio drops, while 751,000 children in Multan were also protected against the virus. Faisalabad saw 867,000 children vaccinated during the ongoing campaign.

Tasawar emphasised that today marks the final day for catch-up vaccinations in 33 districts across the province. He urged parents to play a crucial role by ensuring their children receive the anti-polio drops and help eradicate the virus.
