In a powerful response, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down five Indian aircraft, including three Rafale jets, one MiG-29, and one Su-30 Sukhoi. The aircraft reportedly crashed in the Bhathinda, Akhnoor, and Awantipora areas.

PAF also successfully targeted and destroyed an Indian drone in the Barnala Sector. International news agency Reuters confirmed the destruction of Indian aircraft, and Indian officials have also admitted to the losses.

Indian journalist Pratik Singh Mahl has confirmed that an Indian military jet crashed in Bathinda. According to Mahl, the crash resulted in the death of one worker and injuries to nine others. The aircraft went down around 2 AM, landing in a wheat field located about 500 metres from a residential area. Local sources reported that the blast caused by the crash was heard from far distances. Authorities have not yet provided details regarding the identity of the crashed aircraft.
