Indian media to Modi: “If you can’t protect airbases, how will you protect people?”

Shaken by the devastation caused by Pakistan’s Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, the Indian media has openly questioned Prime Minister Modi’s ability to protect the public, pointing to the destruction of multiple key military installations.

News anchors on major Indian channels expressed alarm over the visible fear amongst citizens, with one anchor stating, “Airbases are engulfed in flames—if these can’t be defended, how can the people be safe?”

Pakistan targeted and reportedly destroyed several strategic Indian airbases, including Udhampur, Adampur, Pathankot, and Bathinda. A cyberattack in Maharashtra also crippled the region’s power infrastructure and disrupted military satellite systems.

Meanwhile, Pakistani drones were seen flying for hours over Gujarat, Modi’s home state—raising serious questions about India’s defence readiness and national security planning.
