Inflation on the rise as Ramadan approaches

The nation’s inflation rate is still rising, and prices are going up before the holy month of Ramadan.
The weekly inflation rate has increased by 0.27 per cent, while the annual inflation rate is 1.21 per cent, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics’ (PBS) most recent weekly data.
Eleven important commodities have seen price increases, while 16 have seen price decreases, according to the survey.
Over the course of the week, the prices of 24 commodities stayed consistent.
Significant price increases were noted for sugar, garlic, poultry, and eggs.
However, the costs of tomatoes, chickpeas, lentils, onions, and mashed lentils also saw drops.
