Interior Ministry blocks passports of key figures in £190 million scandal

According to sources, the Interior Ministry “blocked” the passports of those involved in the £190 million scam on Thursday.
As part of the ongoing probe, the ministry reportedly blocked the passports of former SAPM on accountability Shehzad Akbar and former first lady Farah Khan, who was close friends with Akbar.
The action was taken in response to a formal letter sent on January 28 by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requesting that the ministry restrict the accused’s passports.
It should be mentioned that Judge Nasir Javed Rana of the Rawalpindi accountability court sentenced the PTI founder and his spouse to prison in the Al-Qadir Trust case, also known as the £190 million case.
Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were also fined Rs 1 million and Rs 500,000, respectively, by the court.
