Intermediate Exams Delayed in Mirpurkhas Due to Road Closures

MIRPURKHAS—The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpurkhas has announced the postponement of intermediate examinations, initially set to begin on April 28. The board cites transportation disruptions caused by ongoing road blockages across the region.
According to Controller of Examinations Anwar Aleem Khanzada, the new exam start date is May 5. The board has assured students that a revised timetable will soon be issued to accommodate the updated schedule.
The postponement comes amid severe logistical difficulties, as road closures have hindered movement for both students and examination staff. The disruption has raised concerns among families and educators alike, particularly given the board’s history of delays.
In recent years, BISE Mirpurkhas has struggled with financial constraints and administrative hurdles, which have repeatedly affected its ability to conduct exams in a timely and organised manner. Previous attempts to hold supplementary exams were also unsuccessful, leaving many students in limbo regarding their academic progression.
The latest delay is expected to have a ripple effect, potentially impacting the release of exam results and the timeline for university admissions. Students and parents have expressed frustration over the recurring setbacks, urging authorities to take immediate action to stabilise the examination system.
