The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has confirmed that the country’s internet services are experiencing slow speeds and disruptions due to a fault in the AAE-1 submarine cable near Qatar. This cable is one of the critical connections linking Pakistan to international internet networks, and its malfunction has caused significant problems nationwide.

PTA officials have stated that teams are working to resolve the issue quickly. However, users across Pakistan are facing delays and slower speeds with internet and broadband services, which has caused many inconveniences.

The disruption has also affected popular social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with users reporting either complete outages or significant lag. As a result, many internet users are expressing frustration as they face connectivity issues during the ongoing repair efforts.
