Iran-Israel War: How many billion dollars did the Israeli economy lose?

In the wake of the recent military confrontation between Israel and Iran, the Israeli Central Bank has issued a detailed report stating that the country has suffered an estimated $6 billion in economic losses due to the conflict.

According to international media reports, the central bank warned that the war has caused significant damage to infrastructure and is likely to reduce Israel’s GDP by 1%. The financial toll of the war is now being described as a heavy burden on the national economy.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while addressing the nation, declared:

“We fought with strength and achieved a great victory over Iran. This triumph has opened the doors to new peace opportunities.”

He emphasised that the momentum should now be used to expand peace agreements, secure the release of hostages, and defeat Hamas. “We must not waste even a single day,” Netanyahu added.

On the other hand, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his first video message after the ceasefire, congratulated the Iranian people on what he called a victory, stating:

“Israel and all its claims were crushed. The Iranian nation stood united behind its military and gave a powerful response to aggression.”

He also claimed that the United States intervened to save Israel but failed and described the outcome as “a loud slap in the face of America”.

Khamenei accused Israel of attempting to target Iranian nuclear facilities but stated that Iran’s armed forces are fully capable of defending the country against any aggression. He praised the unity of Iran’s 90 million citizens, saying they have sent a clear message to the world that “we stand as one”.
