Iran Offers Mediation in Pakistan and Afghan Taliban Talks

Iran has offered to act as a mediator in Pakistan and Afghan Taliban reconciliation talks to help promote peace and stability in the region. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi contacted the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan via phone and expressed Iran’s readiness to assist in facilitating dialogue between the two sides.

According to diplomatic sources, during the phone conversation, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Iran’s Foreign Minister discussed bilateral relations, regional issues, and international matters. Both officials emphasized the importance of cooperation to maintain peace and security in the region.
