Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Iran now wants to negotiate, but the opportunity has passed.
Speaking at the White House, Trump stated: “Iran should have talked two weeks ago. Now things have changed. “I told them it was too late.”
Trump revealed that Iran expressed interest in coming to the White House, but circumstances have changed. They were given 60 days to respond, but they made no progress.
On the current crisis, Trump noted: “I’ve told the Israeli Prime Minister to keep going. Iran’s defence systems have been neutralised.” When asked about Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Trump simply replied: “Good luck.”
He hinted that the coming week could be critical, adding: “Something big might happen before then. We might strike… or we might not. Nothing is off the table.”
