Iranian President to Trump: “Martyrdom Is Dearer Than Dying in Bed”

Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has strongly rejected recent criticism from U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that Iran will not surrender to threats or bullying. His response came following Trump’s statements during his recent visit to Gulf countries, which included pointed remarks about Iran.
In a bold statement, President Pezeshkian said:
“Are you here to scare us? We are not afraid of such tactics. Martyrdom is far more honourable to us than dying in bed.”
This response comes in the wake of new U.S. sanctions imposed on individuals and entities linked to Iran’s ballistic missile program. According to U.S. authorities, these sanctions target companies aiding Iran in acquiring materials necessary for missile production.
Tensions between Tehran and Washington have escalated once again, with Iran accusing the U.S. of engaging in coercive diplomacy and regional destabilisation.
