As tensions intensify with Israel and the United States, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly handed over full wartime authority to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) council, granting them the power to make independent military decisions moving forward.

According to Iranian media reports, this significant development occurred during Khamenei’s recent five-day public absence. Sources claim that the Supreme Leader has been relocated to a highly secured underground bunker in Tehran’s Lavizan district, accompanied by close family members, including his son Mojtaba Khamenei.

This comes shortly after former U.S. President Donald Trump made a provocative statement on his Truth Social platform, demanding Iran’s unconditional surrender. Trump claimed to know Khamenei’s exact location, calling him “an easy target”, though he stated there were no current plans to act against him — unless Iran continues missile strikes.

While Iran has not officially declared a state of war, Iranian authorities have confirmed that the country is operating under emergency protocols. The reported transfer of military command is seen as a strategic step to ensure leadership continuity in the event of any direct threat to Khamenei.
