Israel strikes Iran’s state-run news channel Press TV amid escalating tensions

Israel launched an airstrike on the headquarters of Iran’s state-owned news outlet, Press TV, while it was broadcasting live.

The attack follows prior warnings from Israel accusing Iranian state media of spreading anti-Israel propaganda and threatening retaliatory action.

In a broader escalation, Israel has begun targeting civilian areas in Tehran. The Israeli military issued a warning to residents of “District 3″—a densely populated area home to over 300,000 people—urging them to evacuate ahead of a planned strike.

Fearing further attacks, a mass exodus has begun from the Iranian capital. Long lines of vehicles have formed at Tehran’s exit routes, with residents scrambling to leave the city.
