Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Install Emergency Sirens Amid Pakistan-India Tensions

In response to escalating tensions between Pakistan and India, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the installation of emergency sirens across all districts in the province.
The decision comes amid ongoing concerns over India’s repeated provocations, prompting local authorities to step up civilian safety measures. According to an official notification issued by the Directorate of Civil Defence KP, sirens will be installed in urban centres, marketplaces, and other high-density public areas to provide timely alerts in emergencies.
The directive emphasises that the sirens warn the public of potential wartime threats or aerial attacks. All Civil Defence Officers have been instructed to ensure the functionality and readiness of the siren systems at all times.
