Legendary Actor Ishrat Abbas Passes Away

Renowned Pakistani TV and stage actor Ishrat Abbas has passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. His funeral prayers were offered today at 11 a.m. at Government College Faqirabad, Peshawar, with colleagues, admirers, and locals in attendance.
Ishrat Abbas was considered one of the most recognised faces of Pakistan Television (PTV) during its golden era. He gained fame for his versatile performances in popular TV serials and stage plays, earning respect for his natural dialogue delivery and emotional depth.
Born in Peshawar, Ishrat Abbas began his artistic journey in theatre before moving to television, where he worked alongside some of the biggest names in the drama industry.
He was also actively involved in cultural programmes and remained committed to promoting performing arts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
