Modi's war madness is out of control after the failure of Operation Sindoor
After a major setback in Operation Sandor, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s war hysteria appears uncontrolled.

Analysts say he is wasting billions on defence projects to cover political embarrassment and personal ego.

Following the Rafale aircraft’s failure, Modi shifted focus to domestic fighter jets. He prioritised the costly Tejas programme, calling it a national achievement. Critics argue it is more about pride than real defence needs.

According to Indian daily Economic Times, India approved an order worth 62,000 crore rupees for 97 Tejas Mark 1A jets. This takes the air force’s total to 180 jets, meant to replace ageing MiG-21 aircraft.

Reports add that former Air Chief Marshal V.R. Chaudhari announced the plan during a visit to Spain. State-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited expects more orders, including 200 Mark 2 jets and fifth-generation aircraft. Over 65 percent of the components are locally produced.

India’s Defence Acquisition Council also approved helicopter purchases and fighter upgrades worth 1.6 lakh crore rupees. However, experts believe these moves are driven by Modi’s political agenda and war-driven propaganda, not genuine security needs.
