Mohsin Naqvi Announces 1 Million Rupees Reward for National Hockey Players

Federal Interior Minister and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has announced a cash reward of one million rupees for each hockey player.

During a meeting in Lahore, Pakistan, hockey team captain Imad Shakeel Butt congratulated Mohsin Naqvi on receiving the Nishan-e-Imtiaz. He also highlighted issues related to hockey’s revival and the team’s participation in the Pro Hockey League.

The meeting also included discussions about player welfare and rehabilitation matters. The captain emphasised the need for stronger support systems to ensure athletes can perform at their best.

In response, Mohsin Naqvi announced the reward and assured that the PCB’s professional medical team will handle players’ medical and fitness cases. He said this will provide athletes with world-class support.

Naqvi further promised that hockey players’ visa problems would be resolved. He confirmed that PCB’s logistics team will actively facilitate the players to ensure smooth participation in upcoming events.

The federal minister praised the national team for qualifying for the Pro Hockey League, calling it a national honour.
