Mushfiqur Rahim breaks Younis Khan’s test record

Galle: Bangladesh’s veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim has broken the Test record previously held by Pakistan’s former captain Younis Khan.

Rahim scored a brilliant 163 runs against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Galle Test, becoming the oldest player to score a Test century on Sri Lankan soil. He achieved the feat at 38 years and 39 days, surpassing Younis Khan, who scored a century there in 2015 at 37 years and 216 days.

By the end of Day 2, Bangladesh posted 484/9, with notable contributions from Najmul Hossain Shanto (148) and Liton Das (90).
