In its advisory, NACTA warned that the Fitna-al-Khwarij group poses a significant threat, urging provincial governments to enforce the highest level of security measures. Intelligence reports suggest that militants linked to the group may infiltrate Pakistan from Afghanistan to carry out attacks, with major urban centres being at risk.
Protests to Proceed as Planned
Despite the warning, PTI has confirmed that the protest will proceed as planned. Large convoys from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) are expected to depart for Islamabad at 10 a.m. on November 24. Sources within PTI revealed that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will oversee the coordination and may personally lead one of the convoys. A significant turnout of party workers is anticipated.
Security Concerns Heightened
Authorities are reportedly on high alert, with extensive security arrangements being put in place. Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to tighten monitoring at entry and exit points to prevent any infiltration by militants. Public and private establishments in Islamabad are also being urged to remain vigilant.
Bushra Bibi to Stay Away from Protests
Amid the ongoing political activities, it has been clarified that Bushra Bibi, wife of imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan, will not participate in any rallies or protests. This statement comes amid speculation regarding her involvement in PTI’s political agenda.
