NADRA Unveils Upgraded Pak-ID App with Smart Features

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched an updated version of its Pak-ID mobile app. This upgrade includes several advanced features designed to improve user experience and make services more accessible. The app allows citizens to manage identity tasks without visiting NADRA offices, saving time and effort.
According to NADRA, the app now offers real-time ID tracking and facial biometric verification at the start of each application. Users can also book appointments at NADRA centres directly through the app. Importantly, viewing family records no longer requires biometric verification. The new version features a smoother interface and better navigation.
These improvements are aimed at simplifying identity-related processes and enhancing convenience for Pakistani citizens. NADRA urges users to update the app on their smartphones immediately. The new tools are especially helpful for people in remote areas or those with limited mobility. The app’s improved usability makes services faster and easier to access.
NADRA has reaffirmed its goal of upgrading digital infrastructure and service delivery across Pakistan. Officials emphasised their commitment to innovation in public service. This digital move is part of a broader strategy to improve efficiency and reach. The changes reflect NADRA’s ongoing efforts to stay ahead in a tech-driven era.
Earlier, NADRA introduced a secure online fee payment system through the Pak-ID app. Citizens no longer need to visit physical offices to pay for documents. This system supports a variety of payments, including Visa, Mastercard, Easypaisa, JazzCash, and e-Sahulat, making it easy for both local and overseas Pakistanis.
Now, applicants can pay for Smart National Identity Cards (SNIC), Child Registration Certificates (CRC), and Family Registration Certificates (FRC) within minutes. The mobile app combines identity processing, payments, and appointments in one place. This makes the app an essential tool for modern digital governance in Pakistan.
