Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he asked US President Donald Trump to demand full dismantling of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. He said any future deal must go beyond halting uranium enrichment. Netanyahu shared his views at the annual Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organisations. He stressed that Iran must remove both equipment and infrastructure. He said partial measures would not ensure lasting security.

Meanwhile, a second round of US-Iran talks is scheduled for this week. Iran reportedly seeks a nuclear agreement that provides economic benefits. However, Netanyahu said he remains sceptical about the negotiations. He insisted that enriched nuclear material must leave Iran. He warned that only complete dismantling would prevent future threats.

The United States and Iran recently resumed talks to address their long-standing nuclear dispute. The discussions aim to avoid a new military confrontation in the region. US officials said Washington has sent another aircraft carrier to the area. They added that preparations are underway for possible military action. The move signals rising tension if talks fail.

Netanyahu also addressed the ongoing conflict in Gaza. He said Israel still needs to destroy remaining tunnels in the territory. According to him, Israeli forces have dismantled 150 kilometers of an estimated 500 kilometers. He emphasized that Israel must complete the operation. He described it as necessary for national security.

Netanyahu proposed phasing out US military aid within ten years. Israel currently receives $3.8 billion annually under a ten-year agreement ending in 2028. He said Israel’s strong economy allows gradual reduction of financial assistance. He suggested a seven-year drawdown after the current deal expires. Netanyahu stated that Israel seeks partnership with the US instead of aid.
