New Zealand Clinches ODI Series After T20 Victory

New Zealand had triumphed in the ODI series following their T20 victory, as Pakistan suffered a crushing defeat in the second ODI.
Kiwi bowlers dismantled Pakistan’s batting lineup, bowling them out for just 208 runs despite resistance from Faheem Ashraf (73) and Naseem Shah (51). A total of 12 Pakistani batsmen failed to chase down a target of 293 runs.
Pakistan’s top order collapsed. Babar Azam and Abdullah Shafique were dismissed for just 1 run each, while Salman Ali Agha managed 9, captain Rizwan 5, and Imam-ul-Haq only 3 runs. Wasim Junior was dismissed for just 1 run off 2 balls. Haris Rauf retired hurt to save face, and Naseem Shah, filling in for him, made a valiant 50.
Earlier, New Zealand posted a solid total of 292/8 in their allotted overs. Mitchell Heyward played a blistering knock of 99 runs, hitting seven sixes and seven fours. Pakistani-origin Mohammad Abbas once again impressed with a responsible knock of 41 runs in a difficult situation. Nick Kelly (31), Daryl Mitchell (18), and Henry Nicholls (22) also contributed valuable runs before being dismissed.
