ODI Rankings: Babar Azam loses top spot after four years!

International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest ODI players’ rankings.

According to the rankings, India’s Shubman Gill has become the number one batsman in ODI cricket, while Pakistan’s former captain Babar Azam has dropped to second place.

Shubman Gill now holds 796 ranking points, whereas Babar Azam has 773 ranking points.

In the latest rankings:

  • India’s Rohit Sharma is in third place.
  • South Africa’s Aiden Markram has moved up one spot to fourth.
  • New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell has climbed two places to secure fifth position.

From Pakistan:

  • Fakhar Zaman has dropped one spot to 14th place.
  • Captain Mohammad Rizwan has made an impressive jump of six places to reach 15th position.

Bowlers’ Rankings

  • Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana is now the No.1 ODI bowler.
  • Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has dropped to second place.
  • Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi has also fallen one place to fifth position.
  • New Zealand’s Mitchell Santner has climbed five spots to seventh place.

All-Rounders’ Rankings

  • Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi continues to hold the No.1 position in the ODI all-rounder rankings.
