Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq Leads to 59 Percent Drop in Terrorism

After the launch of Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq on the night of February 26–27 in Afghanistan, Pakistan saw a significant reduction in terrorist incidents. The 59 percent drop in terrorism highlights the operation’s immediate impact on regional security.
According to a report by the Center for Research and Security Studies, terrorist incidents in Pakistan fell sharply in March compared to February. The data shows that swift action against militants can have a rapid effect in curbing violence across affected areas.
Furthermore, the report revealed that in the first three months of 2026, Pakistan experienced an overall 18 percent decrease in terrorist activities. This reduction reflects improved coordination between security forces and more effective intelligence-led operations targeting militant networks.

The report also highlighted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa saw a 57 percent decline in terrorism compared to the previous quarter. Other major cities similarly experienced visible reductions in attacks, demonstrating that focused operations can create safer environments for civilians across Pakistan.
Finally, the report concluded that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq has caused a 59 percent drop in terrorism. It noted that the elimination of key militants proves that these coordinated operations are effective, though terrorists continue attempts in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Islamabad against unarmed civilians.
