After a delay due to the Los Angeles fire, the nominations for Hollywood’s biggest awards have been announced.
Netflix’s Spanish-language film Amelia Perez led the nominations with 13 nods. The film’s story revolves around a Mexican drug dealer who, after undergoing gender transition, begins a new life as a woman.
Following Amelia Perez, the films Brutalist and Wicked secured the second and third spots with 10 nominations each in various categories.
The 2025 Academy Awards ceremony will be held on March 2, 2025, at the Dolby Theatre. Conan O’Brien will host the 97th Academy Awards for the first time. The event will be broadcast live on ABC.
