Pakistan and Other Countries Condemn Israeli Annexation Bill

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the OIC, and the Arab League, along with 17 countries and organizations, strongly condemned Israel’s approval of the West Bank annexation bill in the Knesset. The joint statement said this move violates international law and UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334, which condemns Israeli actions aimed at changing the demographics and legal status of Palestinian territories. This decision has raised global concerns and is widely referred to as Israeli parliament West Bank annexation bill condemnation.

The statement further highlighted that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) has confirmed that Israeli settlement, annexation, and occupation of Palestinian land is illegal. Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories, and its actions go against international law.

The countries emphasized that a free and independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, must be established. This is considered the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
